Tausha Riley is the founder of Signature Law Firm. She has experience as a business owner who has been a client on more than one occasion. When developing the firm, she had a prosaic vision. She sought to create a place where the client is more than a number on a file or a billable hour. She sought to create a firm with a personal touch.
Tausha’s professional background is diverse. She began her career over fifteen years ago in accounting and finance. She worked mainly in large publicly traded companies in a compliance capacity. In this role she has prepared financial statements, tax returns, and prepared and filed annual and quarterly SEC reports.
In addition to her corporate work, Tausha is an entrepreneur. She has been involved in multiple startups in the real estate, hospitality, and non-profit industries. Having been a corporate player and business owner, she recognizes the challenges that businesses and individuals face in both booming and recession type environments. Convinced that clients would benefit from her prior knowledge, as an attorney Tausha concentrates on commercial litigation, family law, criminal law, taxation, and bankruptcy.
Pulling from her accounting and financial expertise, Tausha understands the complex financial issues that impact every aspect of a case or transaction. She has worked with businesses and individuals seeking to file Chapters 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy. In the same capacity, she has represented individuals before the IRS and aided them in finding favorable settlement terms for their outstanding tax debt, thereby avoiding excessive penalties and further garnishment.
Unlike many taxation and bankruptcy attorneys, Tausha is an experienced litigator. Through any phase of litigation, albeit investigating, drafting pleadings, discovery, trial, or appeal, her skills are tried and true. Whether it’s commercial litigation, family law, or criminal law, she is no stranger to the courtroom.
